Visual Arts - AVA gallery Situated on the visually stunning Docklands campus of University of East London, the School of Architecture and the Visual Arts (AVA) brings together architecture, art and design.
Supporting the development of the next generation of artists, designers, and architects, within a contemporary, professional milieu, students participate in many professional projects and exhibitions, and are confident and well equipped to succeed in their chosen fields. The student community includes students from a wide range of background, and experience, contributing a rich mix to studio debate, and leading to independent and original work.
For the last project of the semester, second year photography students, in collaboration with visiting artist Rob Rainbow, are going to present an exhibition, focused on portraiture and place, in which they are going to explore and experiment scale, presentation and the space of AVA gallery, incorporating experimental visual processes, from printing materials and techniques to installations and projections.
