PAUL YOUNG, FROM KITCHEN RANGE TO GLOBAL AWARDS

Upcoming July 15th, the British pop-star Paul Young will receive the Global Music Award at the seventh Global Music and Film Festival, to be held on the Isle of Ischia (Italy). The announcement comes from Tony Renis and the film director Paul Haggings, co-chairman and curator of the kermesse. Paul Young, after a successful career in the Eighties, was recently seen by a tabloid while he was working as a cook in his ex-wife’s restaurant in London. Young, likely disappointed by his last unsuccessful album ("Rock swings", 2006), might feel the credit crunch too. Or then again, maybe he just likes to cook while collecting awards on the side.
